Teaching

Teaching others is perhaps the best way to learn, for me, and I truly enjoy teaching. I have experience of working with groups of all ages; from kindergarteners to adults, from complete beginners to seasoned professionals in their fields, from one-off workshops and lectures to continuous teaching at school. As a teacher, I aim to inspire and offer tools to my students to work toward their own goals. I see myself as a curator and mediator, rather than a strict authoritarian, but creating a safe-to-fail, supportive atmosphere and an inquisitive attitude in the group is my ambition.

With an MA in Art Education from Aalto University (2019), and a minor in history from Åbo Akademi (2014), I am qualified and experienced in teaching art and history in Finnish elementary school and upper secondary – but I have also taught animation, game development, comics, digital tools, coding, drama and cooking as workshops.
